While we’ve given our in-depth impressions from our visit to Nintendo HQ last week (and a review will be up for the weekend), having the final version, it’s clear that this game has come a long way in a short time. While the game still remains as fun, and the core gameplay hasn’t changed, a lot of nice finishing touches pushes it over the top. The dancing that the enemies did with the music from the DS version? That’s in there thankfully; there’s nothing more satisfying then chomping on a Goomba mid dance.
The first two videos below show a couple of levels from early on in the game (World 1 and 2) and the second video shows off the coin battle mode, which is a lot of fun. The homage to the original arcade Mario Bros is a a welcome addition. Be warned, we were playing this on a capture device about 400 pixels wide, so if we suck you know why.

We’ll have a review up later this weekend, but you probably know if you’re going to buy it or not by now. Either way you can sit pretty knowing that you’re playing it before the rest of the world.
