The sequel will feature five familiar characters from the original title—Jin, Noel, Rachel, Ragna and Taokaka—who will brawl it out in four-way ‘rumble style’ bouts, with ad-hoc multiplayer support. The game will go for 500 points in Japan when it releases in January next year.
This year’s console release of Blazblue Calamity Trigger was a big hit amongst the fighting game community, showcasing bright and snappy hand-drawn 2D visuals and an innovative new fighting system. The new series held up its own against new releases from hi-profile fighting mainstays such as Street Fighter, Tekken and King of Fighters in both the West and the game’s homeland of Japan.
